Dry levelling compounds
Dry installed underfloor heating systems require a flat and level substrate.
When not available, unevenness can be overcome with levelling compounds. Liquid levelling systems can be employed but are expensive, messy and are by their very nature a wet trade.
JUPITER employs a variety of dry levelling systems of which their key product is a dehydrated granulated slate.
Granulated slate has the advantage over sand that it mechanically binds and therefore doesn’t dissipate or percolate over time through continual pumping movement within the floor construction. With a minimal amount of cement the slate levelling compound can be sculpted to fall if required.
Installation
Installation of dry levelling compounds is done by using a levelling set. See below for further information.
