StrongBoard FL & StrongBoard TK
The introduction of StrongBoard FL & TK means that it is now possible to install either engineered or solid timber directly on the JUPITER IDEAL system and have a tiled, stone or carpeted floor directly adjoining at the same height as the wooden floor.
StrongBoard FL is an innovative, ultra thin load bearing substrate that has two unique features. At only 5mm StrongBoard FL makes the JUPITER IDEAL system is the lowest UFH system on the market. Made of recycled polyester and aluminium it produces over 100 W/m² from a water flow temperature of only 35º.
StrongBoard TK is a unique laminate style ‘CLICK’ together 10mm load bearing substrate for carpets.
Heat output and efficiency
Implementing underfloor heating successfully is largely down to the floor finishes that are installed.
StrongBoard is super conductive and therefore provides an immediate advantage when installing tiles or natural stone products on top. With an average flow temperature of 35º StrongBoard produces a m² output of 108.5 W. Finishes with a low thermal resistance such as natural stone or floor tiles will therefore provide optimum heat output when used in conjunction with StrongBoard.
